Streaming Screams
Warnings for spoilers and mature content DO YOU LIKE SCARY MOVIES? We know you do, and so do we! We are Glenn and Jess, besties and drive-in mutants, with a shared passion for the macabre, the grotesque and the ridiculous. When you’re home alone on those dark and stormy nights, we’ll let you know where you can tune in and find a chill to run up your spine. Every month we’ll watch and discuss two horror movies that you can watch at home, alone or with that special someone or someTHING. We connect deeply with horror movies, which is a little disturbing if you think about it. So, we go off on plenty of tangents, side chats and rants along the way, before passing our final judgments and letting you know where you can find these terrifying treasures. What kind of horror movies do we cover? Why, anything you can stream! From the dawn of Hollywood to today. From the grindhouse to the arthouse, from slashers to found footage, from serial killers to haunted houses, and from comedy to the truly deranged, if it’s on the net for you, it’s on the slab for us. We’ll unleash new episodes on the 1st Thursday of every month, so please, enter freely, of your own will, and leave some of the happiness you bring. JOIN US.

From the Bowels of Hell to the Terrors of the Mind
As we return to our normal monthly schedule we explore the Inferno and ask, is it age and Alzheime’rs, or is it something, somehow more sinister? Join us as we strap on the camera with two found footage flicks:
As Above, So Below
The Taking of Deborah Logan
We’ll explore the allegory of the parisian catacombs, dive into the unexplored family drama of child sacrifices and queer daughters, look for a physical way out of Hell with a wannabe Last Crusade-era Indiana Jones, and deal with way too many snakes.
Along the way we’ll tackle some of the big, important life topics, like growing up catholic, being a bad student, why you shouldn’t kill rattlesnakes if you see them, motion sickness, Hummel and Precious Moments figures, energy drinks and shady HVAC contractors.
So get on your belly and abandon all hope with this first person episode of STREAMING SCREAMS!

The End is the Beginning
Alas, all parties must come to an end and trick or treating can only go on for so long. The neighbors are turning out their lights, so open up your bag for the last fun-sized episode of our Spooky Season Super Scary Screamtacular with John Carpenter's most seminal work, the original classic, the immortal, the iconic
Halloween
We travel all the way back to 1978, with a quick detour to 1963, to see the Michael Myers legacy take shape (See what we did there?). One thing that’s going to be interesting about this journey is that we watched two different versions of the movie. Glenn watched the version that we all know and love, while Jess watched the extended version involving scenes added years later.
Along the way, we’ll touch on some important subjects like why teens bang in their parents bed (and maybe why they shouldn’t), whether artists can be trusted to tell you the meaning of their own art, whether you can be a goody two-shoes and still smoke weed, and what the heck is a slasher anyway?
As we say goodbye to spooky season and return to our monthly schedule, we want to thank you for joining us for our first Halloween event. May your costumes be awesome, your parties raucous, your Samhain fires warm, your tricks scary and your treats delightful!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Not Dead Enough
The Halloween party continues with another fun-sized episode where we get into the most divisive and controversial film of this whole timeline
Halloween Ends
As the sequel trilogy winds down and the focus shifts to a new character, we follow Haddonfield into the depths of societal and generational trauma. Along the way we’ll examine how we, as individuals and society, relate to, and are reflected by, this dark, decaying town, the wisdom of doing 3 Halloween movies in 3 different genres, Romeo and Juliet romances, people’s need for someone to blame and whether this movie is secretly a remake of Christine or not. It’s time to burn it down with the penultimate fun sized episode of our Spooky Season Super Scary Screamtacular!

Halloween Kills
We continue our journey through Haddonfield as the warmth of the Samhain fire gives way to a raging inferno! This time we get to catch up with Tommy Doyle and literally anyone else they could get from the 78 movie. I bet they’re all doing great!
Along the way, we find out what it truly means to be close to your family, EVIL DIES TONIGHT, question the morality of lies of omission, EVIL DIES TONIGHT, what happens when you give a motive to the motiveless, EVIL DIES TONIGHT, the logic of erasing all previous sequels and then repeating a bunch of the same mistakes they made, and finally, EVIL DIES TONIGHT!

On the Road
This month, our ghoulish hosts head down to LA to see one of their favorite bands, Ghost, at the Kia Forum for one of the shows filmed for Rite Here Rite Now. Along the way they explore the spooky, wynorrific town of Raven’s End and a morbidly grisly haunted neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Argentina with two unique and visionary flicks:
The Mortuary Collection
Terrified
We’ll touch on the manipulative and deceptive tactics of the guys you shouldn’t date, the heartbreak of euthanasia and invalid care, original music made for movies, exploding genitals, housing structures in Argentina, anthology-like narrative structure, Rob Zombie’s Halloween, and Glenn, AGAIN, talks about his appreciation of penises in horror movies. The Farmer's Daughter
Gators and smut films and senior citizens, OH MY!
With Maxxxine having its major release just days away, we thought we’d revisit the first two parts of Ti West’s sexploration of cinema:
X
Pearl
Featuring absolute powerhouse performances by today’s #1 scream queen, Mia Goth, and explorations of age, sexuality, lust, love, film-making and how we are shaped both by our environment and the movies we love; this trilogy looks to be shaping up to be one of the best in horror history.
If you’re planning on seeing Maxxxine, and need a very fun refresher on the first two movies, this one's for you! Along the way we’ll touch on such subjects as monogamy vs polyamory, swimming in unvetted waters, the importance of consent and honesty in more than just intercourse, underwear with the day of the week on it, the use of elderly nudity in horror, Glenn’s adoration of Chelsea Wolfe and the truest horrors in life: Costco on a Saturday (and their sub-par pizza.). One thing we will NOT be discussing is whether it’s better to find a man or a bear in the woods!
We’ll even include a bonus mini-segment with our reaction to:
the Maxxxine trailer!
It’s time to go over the rainbow and under the clothes in this month’s glamorously sleazy episode of STREAMING SCREAMS!

Sinister Honking

Terrifier
Terrifier 2
We’ll meet at the old abandoned circus in the basement to find what exactly makes Art the Clown so fun to watch, discuss the progress of director Damien Leone’s career, philosophize over the use of penises in horror movies, figure out which of us has had to deal with the most disgusting bathroom messes while working retail and try to figure out exactly what the hell a hospital orderly is.
So grab your Halloween costume because it’s time to drop on by the Clown Cafe in this episode of STREAMING SCREAMS!
Your Hosts
Jessica and Glenn became roommates in 2011 and rapidly developed a friendship that they would both cherish and everyone else would just have to deal with. They've shared in each other's greatest joys, and helped each other survive times of tragedy and stress. Loud, boisterous, and easily excitable, they can often be either a great source of entertainment, or just a bit too much for everyone else in their lives when they get together.
They share a deep appreciation of horror movies, 90's industrial music, mosh pits and games.
Jessica is passionate about animals and works in cat rescue. She often has a lot of kittens in her home.
Glenn is passionate about music. He loves most genres he comes across, plays multiple instruments and has a vinyl collection of a size that can be best described as "irresponsible."
